Dash DCSM250 Stand Mixer Review

Dash DCSM250 is a stand mixer with 250 watt motor and 6 speed settings. It’s one of the cheapest stand mixers you can buy so can it really be any good?

Performance

Dash DCSM250 is less powerful than more expensive stand mixers but that’s kinda ok as the bowl is smaller too (only 3.5 quarts). It still does feel underpowered and can overheat when mixing tougher/thicker doughs like bread dough so stronger motor would have been welcome.

Even though it has 6 different speeds the difference between them is not large (but there is still some). What this means is that even the lowest speed is quite fast.

Quality

As expected from a stand mixer that costs fraction what others do the quality isn’t great. It does feel cheap and not particularly sturdy. Some consumers even have had issues with attachments breaking.

Attachments

Dash DCSM250 stand mixer comes with 2 dough hooks and 2 beaters.

Features

Dash DCSM250 features tilt-head design which makes removing mixing bowl and ejecting attachments easy.

Verdict

Dash DCSM250 feels more like a toy stand mixer which is not surprising since it’s countless times less expensive than a normal stand mixer. This is not a proper replacement to more expensive models who are more powerful and better made. Dash DCSM250 might do work light duty mixing but for thicker doughs like bread dough it likely won’t be sufficient. Quality isn’t great as well so it’s questionable how long it will last.
