Ice production

COSTWAY 2 in 1 countertop ice maker can produce up to 26 pounds of bullet shaped ice cubes in 24 hours. It makes 9 ice cubes per batch and each batch usually takes 7-15 minutes to make (depending on chosen ice size setting, air temperature, water temperature etc.).

COSTWAY 24509US-BK-CYPE makes ice cubes in 2 sizes: small and large, however don’t get tricked as even so called “large” ice cubes are very small.

Ice quality is decent, ice cubes are crunchy and nice to chew on.

It cannot hold a lot of ice. On top of that ice storage isn’t refrigerated so ice cubes slowly melt there.

Water dispensing

Water dispensing feature is mediocre – you might expect for the unit to cool down the water but it doesn’t do that. It just dispenses water and that’s it.

Control panel

Control panel is intuitive and easy to use. It features LCD display and 5 buttons: Timer (set timer from 30 minutes to 19 hours and 30 minutes); Select (ice cube size setting); On/Off; Water (dispense water) & Ice (dispense ice cubes).

Noise

COSTWAY 2 in 1 countertop ice machine is a little bit noisy especially when it dumps ice.

It warns you with icons on LCD display when it’s lacking water or ice storage is full.

It also has timer function that works in range from 0.5 to 19.5 hours. It allows you to either start or stop making ice after the time you set has passed.

COSTWAY 2 in 1 countertop ice maker… works. It’s not spectacular or special in any way. Is it a great ice maker? Probably not. Is it a bad one? Also no. It’s just a simple appliance that can make ice and dispense water. That’s it.
