COSORI GK172-CO 1500W Electric Kettle Review

COSORI GK172-CO was released less than 2 months ago but it already one of the best selling electric kettles in North America. It has 1.7 liter (1.8 quarts) capacity which equals to about 7 cups.

COSORI GK172-CO works just fine. It boils water fast and is simple to use.

COSORI GK172-CO is made of BPA free food-grade stainless steel and glass.

Features

COSORI GK172-CO features auto shut-off (kettle shuts off within 30 seconds after water starts boiling) and dry boiling protection (turns off if there’s no water inside the kettle to prevent damage).

Cleaning

Over time minerals will build up inside the kettle so it’s advisable to clean it once in a while. To clean it pour 1 cup (250 mL) of vinegar or lemon juice and 2 cups (500 mL) of water inside the kettle. Then turn on the kettle, when it shuts off (stops boiling) wait 2 hours before pouring out the mixture. After you do that clean the kettle with cloth. Then rinse it with water and once again dry and clean inside with clean cloth.

Conclusions

COSORI GK172-CO is a decent kettle. It’s inexpensive so you can’t expect many cool features but it’s made of good materials and works just fine.
