Cosori CS108-NK is a smart gooseneck electric kettle that can be connected to your smartphone with VeSync App. It can hold up to 0.8 liters of water which is less than most electric kettles but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s worse than them. So is it?

Cosori CS108-NK heats up water fast but that’s mostly because of its small water holding capacity. Most electric kettles in this price range are equipped with 1500 watt heating element whereas Cosori CS108-NK with 1200 watt meaning it actually heats up same amount of water slightly slower than more powerful models.

You got 4 options for how warm you want you water to be: 180°F, 195°F, 205°F and 212°F. This feature is useful as different types of tea require different brewing temperatures. Unfortunately temperatures are a bit off but they are close. If you need super precise temperatures then this is not the kettle for you however that won’t matter much for most.

Another useful function is “Keep warm”. It will keep water at selected temperature for 30 minutes. This means you can turn on the kettle and then make tea/coffee later without worrying about water being not as warm as you need.

Once water has finished the kettle will beep. Beeping is loud enough to be noticed but not too loud to be obnoxious.

Quality

Cosori CS108-NK is mostly made of high quality materials like 304 food-grade stainless steel. Water doesn’t touch silicone or plastic so you don’t have to worry about contamination.

VeSync App

You can control Cosori CS108-NK gooseneck electric kettle with VeSync App. You can start the boiling process, make water stay warm or schedule when water should be boiled (i.e. in the morning when you wake up) from your phone.

In case you are wondering – what if my phone loses connection with the kettle will it still boil the water at scheduled time? Yes, it will!

Verdict

Cosori CS108-NK isn’t perfect but it’s a pretty good gooseneck kettle for the money nonetheless. It’s attractive, mostly well made and has a lot of useful functions.
