Best Cosori Air Fryers (2023 Review)
Cosori is one of the most popular air fryer manufacturers. It makes many different models which might make it hard for you to choose the right one for you. In this article you will find which Cosori air fryers are the best, whether they meet your needs and how good or bad they really are.
#1 Cosori CP158-AF Max XL 5.8-Quart Air Fryer
Cosori CP158-AF Max XL is an air fryer with 5.8 quart cooking basket which is large enough to cook for ~4 persons depending on what you cook and how large your portions are. Cosori CP158-AF is equipped with 1700 watt heating element which is slightly more powerful than what other similarly sized air fryers from other manufacturers usually have.
Cosori CP158-AF has a temperature range of 170°F to 400°F and it cooks really well which is one of the reasons why it deserves the #1 spot. The food comes out delicious with rich flavor. Steaks, chicken wings and other things are crispy on outside while remain juicy and tensed on inside. French fries crisp nicely too.
When Cosori CP158-AF is cooking you can hear the fan noise but it’s not loud by any means. What you might not like however is the beeping. Cosori CP158-AF beeps when it has done cooking which is a good thing as you will know when your food is ready however beeping every time you press a button does seem unnecessary.
Cosori CP158-AF has 13 cooking programs including steak, chicken, seafood, shrimp, bacon, frozen foods, french fries, vegetables, root vegetables, bread, desserts, preheat and keep warm. They work pretty well most of the time but some slight adjustments to temperature or cooking time can sometimes slightly improve the results.
Cosori CP158-AF is equipped with display screen and touch sensitive buttons. Control panel is responsive, intuitive and easy to use.
Aesthetics is perhaps one of the last things that comes into play when evaluating how good an air fryer is however it cannot be denied that most of us would like our appliances to be attractive and pleasant to look at.
In this regard Cosori CP158-AF doesn’t disappoint. With sleek design including matte black housing and metal parts CP158-AF is perhaps the most attractive air fryer on the market today which is why it has received Red Dot Design Award.
Removable cooking basket has PFOA-free and BPA-free nonstick coating.
Not only Cosori CP158-AF cooks well it’s also attractive, easy to use and has the perfect basket size for most consumers which makes it the best Cosori air fryer.
#2 Cosori CP358-AF 12-in-1 XL 5.8QT 1700-Watt Air Fryer
Cosori CP358-AF is another great air fryer from Cosori and it’s quite similar to CP158-AF. It’s also equipped with 1700 watt heating element, has 5.8-quart cooking basket (large enough to cook for 3 to 5 persons) and temperature range of 170°F to 400°F.
Cosori CP358-AF cooks food evenly. It crisps it nicely too without losing any moisture inside. There’s not much to say as it cooks about as good as Cosori CP158-AF does. Everything that you would cook with an air fryer ends up tasting great.
Cosori CP358-AF has 10 cooking programs (steak, chicken, seafood, bacon, vegetables, toast, frozen foods, bake, french fries, and shrimp) however they often don’t work too well as they often use a temperature that’s too hot or cook for too long. Fortunately you can save custom settings to fix this issue.
Control panel Cosori CP358-AF is similar to that of CP158-AF. You get LCD display and touch sensitive buttons.
The overall build quality is decent however some consumers reported handle screws coming loose over time causing it to become wobbly. You can easily tighten them yourself if this happens to your unit too but
Cosori CP358-AF has anti-skid pads as well rear cooling system. Cooking basket has PFOA/BPA free nonstick coating and is dishwasher safe.
Cosori CP358-AF is also very attractive air fryer allowing it to win iF Product Design Award.
Size and weight
Cosori CP358-AF air fryer weighs 11.9 pounds (5.4 kilograms) and measures 11.8 inches long by 14.3 inches wide by 12.7 inches high (including the handle). Cooking basket dimensions are as follows: 9.5 inches long, 9 inches wide and 3.75 inches high.
Cosori CP358-AF is ETL Listed meaning it complies with North American safety standards..
To be fair Cosori CP358-AF is about as good as COSORI CP158-AF as they are very similar. They are some subtle differences between the two but nothing that would make one unanimously better than the other one.
#3 COSORI CO137-AF 3.7QT Electric Air Fryer
If you need a smaller air fryer then COSORI CO137-AF might be the one for you. With 3.7 quart basket it’s large enough to cook for 2 persons (in some cases even 3). It’s equipped with 1500 watt heating element and can cook in temperatures ranging from 180°F to 400°F.
Despite being a smaller air fryer COSORI CO137-AF does a good job. It’s powerful enough to heat up fast and crisp food nicely. Chicken wings, french fries, steak, shrimp and other meals come out delicious while being healthy without having to use any oil.
COSORI CO137-AF is a bit noisy for a smaller air fryer but it’s not too loud. It also doesn’t have any presets.
COSORI CO137-AF is equipped with two knobs – one for adjusting temperature and the other one for time. No fancy touch-controls or display screen like you get on other models but that’s not necessarily a bad thing.
Some consumers have reported handle screws loosening over time so you might have to tighten them once in a while.
COSORI CO137-AF air fryer is ETL certified. Cooking basket has PFOA/BPA free nonstick coating with holes to allow grease to flow away making food healthier.
Size and weight
COSORI CO137-AF air fryer weighs 10.4 pounds (4.7 kilograms) and measures 11 inches wide by 11 inches deep by 12.2 inches high (28 cm x 28 cm x 31 cm).
COSORI CO137-AF is a small, basic and affordable yet effective air fryer and for some that’s exactly what they need!
#4 COSORI AF701-CS 14-in-1 XL 7QT Smart Air Fryer Oven
COSORI AF701-CS is a great option if you need something slightly larger and more versatile. It has 7 quart large cooking basket. It’s equipped with 1800 watt heating element and has temperature range of 190°F to 450°F (145°F and 150°F available too with presets).
COSORI AF701-CS cooks food evenly and makes it crispy without using any oil (albeit spraying a little bit does make it even crispier, works especially well on french fries). Meals taste great and are rich in flavor.
COSORI AF701-CS has 14 cooking programs: french fries (400°F/204°C for 24 minutes), chicken (420°F/216°C for 24 minutes), steak (450°F/232°C for 10 minutes), vegetables (380°F/193°C for 10 minutes), seafood (380°F/193°C for 10 minutes), shrimp (370°F/188°C for 8 minutes), bacon (400°F/204°C for 10 minutes), frozen food (420°F/215°C for 15 minutes), toast (380°F/193°C for 5 minutes), bake (300°F/149°C for 35 minutes), roast (380°F/193°C for 60 minutes), dehydrate (145°F/63°C for 6 hours), preheat (380°F/193°C for 5 minutes) and keep warm (150°F/66°C for 60 minutes).
After selecting a cooking program you can still make adjustments (the figures above are default ones). This is really good as sometimes some slight adjustments can make up for better results (you will learn from experience).
COSORI AF701-CS comes with more accessories than air fryers usually do, this includes air frying basket, wire rack, crumb tray, broiler rack, crisper plate and two dehydrating racks. They are dishwasher safe and the basket has FDA approved nonstick coating.
What’s annoying is that you have to wear a mitt to remove the basket as it doesn’t have a handle that stays cool. This is not an issue with most of the other air fryers.
COSORI AF701-CS is compatible with VeSync app which gives you some control over the air fryer with Android or Apple smartphones as well Amaxon Alexa and Google Assistant however you can’t start the cooking process remotely as otherwise it wouldn’t be compliant with safety standards.
COSORI AF701-CS air fryer has large LCD display, touch-sensitive buttons and a dial for adjustments – pretty much the same what you get with most other air fryers.
Weight and size
COSORI AF701-CS air fryer weighs 14 pounds (6.5 kilograms) and measures 13.5 inches wide by 12.7 inches deep by 14.9 inches high (34.2 cm x 32.2 cm x 37.9 cm).
Despite being larger and more versatile than other models it’s also more expensive and for most consumers this won’t be the air fryer that offers best value for money.
#5 COSORI CS100-AO 26.4QT Air Fryer Toaster
COSORI CS100-AO is a bit different than other COSORI air fryers. Whereas most are basket type air fryers this is oven type. It’s almost like small oven albeit it’s more versatile than a regular one. The other difference is that it’s a lot larger than other air fryers having 26.4 quarts of cooking capacity.
COSORI CS100-AO is equipped with 1800 watt heating element and can cook, dehydrate, defrost and ferment in temperatures from 80°F to 450°F. It works and cooks well but there are some nuances.
If you cook larger items you might notice some temperature inconsistencies i.e. if you are cooking a chicken inside then it might not be perfectly evenly cooked. You don’t notice this with smaller meals.
Another thing to mention is that front glass can get quite hot and some parts of the housing might as well. Naturally because of these reasons COSORI CS100-AO does emit some heat but not as much as regular oven.
COSORI CS100-AO is also a bit loud. It’s not terribly noisy but the smaller air fryers are noticeably quieter.
COSORI CS100-AO has 12 cooking modes: preheat, air fry, bake, toast, roast, broil, keep warm, dehydrate, pizza, slow cook, defrost and ferment.
COSORI CS100-AO has LCD display, 6 buttons and knob for adjustments. Some of the buttons have multiple functions:
- “Power“ button:
- Press to turn air fryer on/off.
- If you are cooking you can press this button to cancel cooking process.
- Hold for 5 seconds if you want to pair your phone and air fryer through VeSync app.
- Hold for 15 seconds to reset the air fryer to factory settings.
- “Temp/Time“ button:
- If you want to adjust temperature press this button once. Now you can adjust the temperature with the knob.
- If you want to adjust time then press this button twice. Now you can adjust the temperature in 5 degree increments with knob.
- “Start/Pause“ button:
- If you have selected desired temperature and time settings you can press this button to start cooking.
- If you are already cooking then pressing this button will pause it.
- “Shake“ button:
- Pressing this button will add shake reminder.
- Holding this button will reset cooking functions to factory settings.
- “Fan/Light“ button:
- Pressing this button will turn the fan on/off.
- Holding this button will turn interior light on/off.
- “Preheat“ button:
- If you want to use Preheat function press this button, select cooking mode and press the button again to begin preheating the air fryer.
COSORI CS100-AO can be controlled with VeSync App that works with Android and Apple smartphones as well is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
Using VeSync App you can look for recipes, apply cooking settings, preheat the air fryer and monitor cooking progress however you cannot start cooking process for safety reasons (based on UL 1026 Household Electric Cooking and Food Serving Appliances Standard).
Despite some of the flaws and the fact it doesn’t have rotisserie feature (which some of the other models of this size have) COSORI CS100-AO is a decent air fryer however it’s not the best option for majority of consumers.
#6 COSORI CO158-AF 5.8 Quart Air Fryer
COSORI CO158-AF is another air fryer with 5.8 quart basket. COSORI CO158-AF is a more basic model for those who don’t need additional features or want to save a little bit of money as it’s usually sold at slightly lower price than the other two.
Despite being a cheaper model COSORI CO158-AF does cook well. Perhaps the two air fryer above it do a slightly better job at making food crispy but that could be just a coincidence. What matters the most is that food cooked with COSORI CO158-AF tastes great and doesn’t disappoint in any way.
Being a more basic model COSORI CO158-AF doesn’t have any cooking programs however it does have recommended settings for various meals printed on top of it. Perceive them as a general guidelines as deviating slightly from them might produce better results depending on situation.
Whereas most modern air fryers have digital controls COSORI CO158-AF has mechanical controls – two dials for adjustments (for temperature and time). Many find mechanical controls to be simpler to use however they are also slightly less accurate.
The overall quality is not bad but there are two possible issues some consumers have reported. The first one is the same that CP358-AF suffers from – handle screws loosening over time.
The other issue some consumers have reported is outer basket falling out of the inner one without a press of a button. This is mildly dangerous as this might cause hot grease to spill on your and cause burns.
Cooking baskets are made of aluminum and have nonstick coating that doesn’t contain PFOA’s or BPA’s. They are dishwasher safe.
Cosori CO158-AF cooks well and is very affordable however it’s also very basic and is slightly more flawed than most of the other Cosori air fryer.
