COSORI AF701-CS 14-in-1 XL 7QT Smart Air Fryer Oven Review

COSORI AF701-CS XL is a 14-in-1 smart air fryer with 7-quart cooking capacity. It can cook in temperatures from 190°F to 450°F which is a pretty wide range. Most air fryers only go as high as 400°F so COSORI AF701-CS XL can cook at higher temperatures offering you more options.

Cooking

This is not the first COSORI air fryer we are writing about and all of the previous models have left really good impressions. They all have cooked really well and COSORI AF701-CS XL is no exception.

COSORI AF701-CS XL cooks evenly and makes food crispy on outside without losing any moisture inside. French fries, hamburgers, bacon, steak and so much more ends up tasting delicious. Food is full of flavor and cooks fast.

Adding a little bit of oil (no more than 30mL or you can spray a bit of it) will make your food crispier but of course one of the main benefits or air fryer is that you can cook without any oil which makes food more healthy.

Some foods (like french fries) will require “Shaking” which in this case stands for mixing or flipping your food with tongs halfway through the cooking process for maximum crispness and even cook.

Cooking basket and accessories

COSORI AF701-CS XL comes with quite a bit of accessories including air frying basket, wire rack, crumb tray, broiler rack, crisper plate and two dehydrating racks. They all are dishwasher safe and air frying basket has FDA approved nonstick coating. When you remove any of the racks right after cooking be sure to wear a mitt so you don’t burn your hand (which is a slight flaw as other air fryers don’t require you to wear one as you can simple take out the basket after cooking).

7-quart air frying basket is large enough to cook for 4-5 persons at a time.

Controls

COSORI AF701-CS XL has two LCD Display (one for cooking temperature and the other one for time), a dial for adjustments with button inside (to switch between adjusting temperature and time) as well 17 regular buttons: “On/Off”, “Shake” (to turn on shake reminder), “Start/Pause” and 14 more for presets.

Presets

COSORI AF701-CS XL has 14 presets. They work pretty well but might require some slight adjustments in some situations. The default settings are:

• French fries: 400°F (204°C) for 24 minutes
• Chicken: 420°F (216°C) for 24 minutes
• Steak: 450°F (232°C) for 10 minutes
• Vegetables: 380°F (193°C) for 10 minutes
• Seafood: 380°F (193°C) for 10 minutes
• Shrimp: 370°F (188°C) for 8 minutes
• Bacon: 400°F (204°C) for 10 minutes
• Frozen food: 420°F (215°C) for 15 minutes
• Toast: 380°F (193°C) for 5 minutes
• Bake: 300°F (149°C) for 35 minutes
• Roast: 380°F (193°C) for 60 minutes
• Dehydrate: 145°F (63°C) for 360 minutes (6 hours)
• Preheat: 380°F (193°C) for 5 minutes
• Keep warm: 150°F (66°C) for 60 minutes

Features

COSORI AF701-CS XL features overheat protection, automatic shutoff, cool-touch door handle, non-skid padding and VeSync app compatibility which allows you to choose settings and see cooking process on your smartphone. COSORI AF701-CS XL is also compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

Conclusions

COSORI AF701-CS XL is certainly one of the best air fryers in its price class. It cooks well, is feature and accessory rich as well is large enough to cook for a family of 4 or 5.
