COSORI CO172-EK is electric kettle with 1.8 quart (1.7 liter) capacity. It’s equipped with 1500 watt heating element.

Performance

1500 watt power is enough to heat up water fast but with that being said most electric kettles with similar capacity have similar power so it’s not like COSORI CO172-EK stands out among the competition. Still if performs well.

Some consumers (albeit they are minority) have had issues with weird smell/taste so perhaps boiling water + vinegar mixture and pouring it out a couple times might be a good idea before starting using the kettle. Very few reported this issue so it’s probably not something you should worry about.

Features

COSORI CO172-EK has double wall design which improves insulation. This means water stays warm for longer period of time and housing of the kettle gets less hot making it safer to touch.

Other features that COSORI CO172-EK electric kettle has include auto-shut off, non-drip spout, stainless steel filter and blue LED indicator that illuminates when water is being warmed.

Quality

Overall build-quality is good for the money. COSORI CO172-EK isn’t as well made as high-end models however it also doesn’t feel as cheap and fragile as many other electric kettles that are similarly priced.

Verdict

COSORI CO172-EK is a basic and affordable electric kettle that works just fine. Some of the other similarly priced electric kettles are often badly built or don’t work quite like they are supposed to but this is not the case with COSORI CO172-EK. Overall it’s a good electric kettle for the money.
