Colzer YC-150A is not any worse than YC-100A or YC-60, it’s however larger and subsequently more expensive which is why most consumers will not buy it. But if you need a larger wine cooler then YC-150A is definitely worth consideration as it works great.
#4 Colzer YC-408A 154-Bottle Wine Cooler
Colzer YC-408A is actually the best wine cooler from the manufacturer, so why is it last then? Well, it’s a lot more bigger and more expensive than other models so it’s a bit an overkill for most.
Colzer YC-408A has 14 solid wood shelves and with total chamber volume of 408 liters it can hold up to 154 bottles. You will only get close (or match) the claimed bottle capacity if your wine collection consists exclusively of 750ml standard Bordeaux bottles which is highly unlikely to say the least. You should however be able to fit over 100 bottles inside of different sizes and shapes.
You can adjust temperature in chamber anywhere from 41°F to 72°F. Humidity inside the chamber will be kept at 60% to 70%.
Colzer YC-408A 154-bottle wine cooler works well – temperatures are accurate and constant for most of the time and even when they fluctuate it’s not by much. They might also very slightly vary across the chamber (within 1-2 degrees) but then again, they might not.
Colzer YC-408A is rather inexpensive for its size and quality so it works great for the money.
Control panel is similar to that of other wine coolers so you will find it intuitive and simple to use if you have had experience with wine coolers in the past.
Colzer YC-408A 154-bottle wine cooler is equipped with LCD Display (to show selected temperature), 2 indicator lights (°C and °F, the one that correlates with selected temperature scale illuminates) and 6 buttons:
- ‘’Power’’ button: If the wine cooler is turned on you can press this button to turn it off. If the wine cooler is turned off then pressing this button will turn it on.
- ‘’°C/°F’’ button: Press this button if you want to switch temperature scale (Fahrenheit or Celsius).
- ”Up / Plus” Button: If you want to increase temperature in the chamber then press this button. Each press increases temperature by 1 degree.
- ”Down / Minus” button: If you want to decrease temperature in the chamber then press this button. Each press decreases temperature by 1 degree.
- ”Light” button: If the blue chamber light is turned off you can turn it on by pressing this button. If the chamber light is turned on then pressing this button will turn it off.
- ”Safety lock” button: If you want to lock control panel immediately without waiting 3 minutes then you can press this button.
Colzer YC-408A 154-bottle wine cooler is ETL and UL certified. It’s equipped with 3-layer glass that has insulating layer between two UV-resistant tempered glass layers. Other features include carbon filter which gets rid of odors and helps to maintain desired humidity, lockable door, adjustable feet and front vent which allows this wine cooler to be built-in.
There are plenty of wine coolers of the same size that cost twice as much or more so Colzer YC-408A offers great value for money.
I have a Colzer CZW30SS1 purchased about a year ago. The internal lights went off and do not come on even after pressing the light button. Please help.
