Colzer Elegant 18-Bottle 12″ Wine Cooler Review (YC-60 / CZW18SS1)

Colzer Elegant YC-60 (also known as CZW18SS1) is a wine cooler with 18 bottle capacity. It’s compressor cooled with temperature adjustable from 41 to 78 degrees Fahrenheit.

Temperature control is not as accurate as with high-end units that cost over $1000, but since temperature only fluctuates by up to 3 degrees (and is usually accurate within 1 degree) it’s precise enough for most.

Claimed 18 bottle capacity is true as long as you use standard sized 750 mL bottles. If you have larger bottles, particularly more wide, then you won’t be able to fit as many.

Control panel

Colzer YC-60 has LCD display that shows set temperature and 5 buttons: “Up” and “Down” for temperature adjustment, “bulb” to turn interior light on or off (simply pressing it will turn it on for 10 seconds whereas holding for 3 seconds will make it illuminate indefinitely), “Lock” to unlock controls and “Power” button that turns wine cooler on when pressed or off when held for about 3 seconds.

After 3 minutes of inactivity the controls are locked. To unlock them you have to hold “Lock” button for about 3 seconds until you hear a beep.

To switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit temperature scales hold “Bulb” and “Up” buttons simultaneously for about 3 seconds.

Features

Colzer YC-60 has lockable door (comes with 2 keys), adjustable feet, carbon filter for optimal air quality, dual-pane temper glass door for UV protection and front venting which allows it to be built-in.

Wine cooler is mostly made of stainless steel whereas shelves are made of beech.

Conclusions

For the money Colzer YC-60 is a good wine cooler. It has reasonably accurate temperature control, feels well made and looks great too! It only holds up to 18 bottles though and may hold as little as 13 depending one the bottle size which may be enough for you, however if you need wine cooler with larger capacity check out Aobosi JC-85B – it’s very similar to Colzer, holds up to 28 bottles and generally sells for slightly more.
