Chefman RJ11-17-GOPP heats water faster than microwave or stovetop however some of the more expensive kettles that have more powerful heating element can do it a bit faster.

The water tastes and smells like it’s supposed to – you don’t notice any plastic contamination (but if you do notice some weird smell and/or taste then you shouldn’t panic as this sometimes happens with brand new electric kettles. In such case you should do few heat and rinse cycles and see if that eliminates the problem).

Chefman RJ11-17-GOPP has 3 water level markings imprinted on glass pot: min/0.5 liters, 1.0 liters and max/1.5 liters.

Quality

The quality is what you would expect at this price point. Other than borosilicate glass pot Chefman RJ11-17-GOPP is mostly made of cheap plastic. Overall quality is not great but neither is it terrible. The base is very light though so it slides around easily.

Chefman RJ11-17-GOPP 1.7 liter electric kettle has blue LED lights that illuminates water when kettle is heating it. Handle doesn’t get hot. Kettle can be removed from 360° swivel base for cord-free pouring. Opening is big which makes it easy to clean.

Chefman RJ11-17-GOPP is affordable and fairly basic electric kettle that works just fine!
