Best Cheap Hand Mixers (2023 Review)

Not everyone wants to spend big money on something as simple as a hand mixer which is why today we are going to do a quick overview of best cheap hand mixers. Even though they are not as well made and usually not as powerful as high-end hand mixers they are good enough for most jobs.

#1 Elechomes HM11132 Hand Mixer

Elechomes HM11132 hand mixer is equipped with 250 watt motor and has 5 speed settings. What makes it stand out among other cheap hand mixers is that it has a soft start feature meaning beaters accelerate gradually to prevent splattering. Cheap hand mixers usually don’t have this feature and usually are either underpowered on all speeds or overpowered on slow speeds so this is certainly a very welcome feature.

The power is decent. This is not a hand mixer you would want to mix huge batches of hard dough but then again you should use a stand mixer for that kind of a job anyway. Most of the stuff Elechomes HM11132 mixes and whips just fine.

Another positive is that this hand mixer is quieter than most others.

Ergonomics

Ergonomics is where Elechomes HM11132 does fall behind some of the other hand mixers in this list. It’s a bit heavy, not too heavy to be an issue for most people, but it can be if you are elderly or have arthritis.

Attachments

Despite being very inexpensive Elechomes HM11132 hand mixer comes with 2 dough hooks, 2 beaters and 1 whisk. They are made of 304 stainless steel. They are easy to insert and take out, if you are having issue with the former make sure you are inserting each attachment in the right slot (one is designed for right slot and the other for left).

Features

Elechomes HM11132 hand mixer has retractable cord which doesn’t always work great on first try.

Verdict

Elechomes HM11132 is surprisingly good hand mixer for the money. It does have some flaws but they aren’t too significant considering this is one of the cheapest hand mixers you can buy.

#2 Yomelo YL-899 Hand Mixer

Yomelo YL-899 is a bit more expensive than other hand mixers in this list but it’s still considered somewhat inexpensive. You might want to spend a little bit more money as it’s the most powerful hand mixers here.

Yomelo YL-899 is equipped with 400 watt motor and has 9 different speed settings – a lot more than you usually get. The large variety of different speeds allows you to choose just the right amount of power in every situation maximizing efficiency without suffering splattering.

If we are talking about splattering then it’s worth to mention that Yomelo YL-899 has a soft start feature that makes attachments speed up gradually which prevents it.

Ergonomics

Yomelo YL-899 is really comfortable to use. It’s not heavy at all and is comfortable to hold.

Attachments

Yomelo YL-899 comes with w flat beaters, w dough hooks and a net whisk. They are made of stainless steel and feel sturdy. They are also dishwasher safe.

Accessories

Yomelo YL-899 hand mixer also comes with snap-on storage case where you can store the hand mixer and all of the attachments.

Verdict

Yomelo YL-899 is the best hand mixer in this list. It’s usually sold at higher price than the others which is why it’s only #2 but it’s still significantly cheaper than high-end models.

#3 Hamilton Beach 6-Speed Inexpensive Hand Mixer

Hamilton Beach 62692 6-Speed electric hand mixer is another great cheap option. It has 220 watt motor (that allegedly outputs 275 watt peak of power) and 6 speed settings.

It has modest amount of power just like any other cheap hand mixer in this list. It works just fine for lighter duty jobs but might struggle with heavier doughs. For simple jobs this will do. It works quite well for an inexpensive model.

The slowest speed is a bit fast some some splattering might be unavoidable. Other than that it performs reasonably well.

Attachments

Hamilton Beach 62692 hand mixer comes with 2 beaters and a whisk. Snap-on storage is also included so you can store everything neatly.

Quality

Being a cheap hand mixer it does feel a bit cheap but that’s gonna be the case with all cheap hand mixers. You can’t expect it to feel like high-end models. With that being said the quality isn’t terrible, it’s just that it’s not perfect.

Verdict

Hamilton Beach 62692 is another great option if you are looking for a cheap hand mixer.

#4 BLACK+DECKER MX600 Inexpensive Hand Mixer

BLACK+DECKER MX600 has 250 watt motor and 5 speed settings with “Turbo” button which gives you maximum power when pressed.

The power is decent but once again, this hand mixer is not really for heavy duty jobs. Design of beaters isn’t great too as they tend to make dough climb up which you then have to remove by hand.

Another slight disadvantage it possesses is that its a bit loud as well.

Attachments

BLACK+DECKER MX600 hand mixes comes with 2 helix beaters, 2 dough hooks and a wire whisk. It also comes with snap-on storage case where you can neatly store the hand mixer and all accessories.

Quality

The hand mixer feels quite sturdy but attachments are a bit cheap and could be sturdier.

Verdict

As you can see BLACK+DECKER MX600 is far from perfect but being so inexpensive you might be able to forgive them.

#5 BLACK+DECKER MX3200B Affordable Hand Mixer

BLACK+DECKER MX3200B is another affordable hand mixer that’s one of the cheapest in this list. It has 250 watt motor and 6 speed settings + “Turbo” button.

The power is quite similar to most other hand mixers in this list. Enough for low-to-medium duty jobs, might not be sufficient for more serious ones. It mixes and whips reasonably well considering it’s very inexpensive.

You could complain about 2 things though. The first on is that slowest speed could be slower to prevent splattering. The other one is that there’s no eject buttons so you have to detach accessories manually by hand.

Attachments

BLACK+DECKER MX3200B comes with 2 beaters, 2 dough hooks and a whisk. The quality of them isn’t great, they do feel a bit fragile and might not hold up well.

Verdict

The quality isn’t the best but it is acceptable considering how inexpensive it’s. Other than that it works reasonably well.
