Capresso 565.05 Infinity is a conical burr grinder with 16 grind settings.
Capresso 565.05 Infinity grind performance is seemingly identical to that of Capresso 560 Infinity with the two main differences between the two models being that the former has sturdier heavy duty zinc die-cast housing with stainless steel finish and latter being slightly less expensive.
Lets start with the bad things. Capresso 565.05 Infinity can’t grind coarse. Even on coarsest setting it grinds for something like Drip coffee so this grinder won’t do for French Press. There’s also some retention. You can take out the upper burr to clean but actual cleaning to get everything out of grinding chamber is a bit difficult as there are hard to reach spots.
Capresso 565.05 Infinity works best for coffee types that require medium sized grinds like Drip, Aeropress, V60, moka pot. For espresso you would want a bit finer grind but in some cases it can do acceptable job. There are 0 issues with clogging even when using oily beans.
Capresso 565.05 Infinity is also slightly quieter than burr grinders typically are. It’s a bit quieter than Capresso 560 Infinity too, likely due to its heavier duty housing which works as a sound insulation.
The main competitor of Capresso 565.05 Infinity is Baratza Encore. Baratza Encore does grind better than the Infinity but doesn’t feel as sturdy and well made.
Bean hopper and grounds container
Bean hopper holds up to 8.8 oz of beans whereas grounds container holds up to 4 oz of grounds coffee.
Capresso 565.05 Infinity is simple to use. It’s time based grinder without manual grind mode unfortunately. Timer can be set anywhere from 5 to 60 seconds.
Capresso 565.05 Infinity comes with cleaning brush and grinder cleaning tablets.
Overall Capresso 565.05 Infinity is a really good grinder for the money even if there are some shortcomings. To find out which are the best affordable burr grinders read our Best Cheap Burr Coffee Grinders article.
