Bodum Bistro 11452 is compact electric water kettle that can hold up to 34 ounces (1 liter) of water. It has 1100 watt power supply.

Performance

Bodum Bistro 11452 performs really well. Boiling 1 liter (maximum) of water takes just a few minutes. Water tastes like it’s supposed to too – no weird smell or taste.

There are some things you might dislike though. First, lid opening is quite small so you won’t be able to scrub inside (however there are other ways to clean it too). Second, there are some plastic parts on this kettle however they are BPA free.

Quality

The housing is made of plastic but the kettle doesn’t feel cheap or fragile. It’s mostly made of plastic, stainless steel and silicone.

Features

Bodum Bistro 11452 34 ounce electric kettle features manual “on/off” switch, power indicator light and automatic shutoff.

It also has water level indicator window with 4 indicated volumes: minimum (2 cups), 0.5 liters (17 oz), 0.75 liters (25 oz) and 1.0 liters (34 oz) which is maximum so you shouldn’t fill water over this line. On the right of the window there are also cup imprints to indicate the cup amount: from 2 to 8.

Possible issues

Hinge is held by two plastic pins. This is not the most durable design so there’s some change the plastic pins might break eventually.

Bodum Bistro 11452 electric kettle works very well however there is room for small improvements.
