Best Quilt Stands (Review)

Are you looking for a quilt stand? I have done extensive research to help you choose the best quilt stand out of 6 different models. Find out which quilt stands you should consider to purchase and which ones to avoid!

#1 Southern Enterprises Scroll 3 Blanket Rack

Southern Enterprises Scroll 3 Blanket Rack

Southern Enterprises Scroll 3 blanket rack is made of metal with black finish & bronze rub. It has 3 racks for blanket, quilt and towel storage. Quilt rack is sturdy and feels well made. It’s certainly the best one in this list by huge margin!

Assembly is pretty simple and takes just couple minutes to complete. Assembled unit is 35.25 inches high, 31.5 inches wide and 16 inches deep. It weighs 12.5 lbs.

Overall this is the best quilt stand of all 6 in this list yet it’s one of the cheapest too. Quality is far better than other quilt stands so it would be advisable to consider only this one for purchasing, forget about the rest – they are mediocre products at best!

#2 Winsome Wood Betsy Quilt Stand

Winsome Wood Betsy Quilt Stand

Winsome Wood Betsy quilt stand is made of solid beachwood with walnut finish.

Assembly can be a bit challenging. Most of the pilot holes aren’t pre-drilled properly, they are too small and shallow which makes putting together this quilt stand rather difficult task.

Assembled unit is a bit unbalanced but feels sturdy enough. Materials are of mediocre quality. Assembled unit does look pretty nice though. It’s 36 inches high, 30 inches wide and 20 inches deep.

Overall if you are looking for quilt stand made from wood then this one can be taken into consideration. It’s of mediocre quality but it looks well and seems to be sturdy enough for its intended task. However it’s considerably worse than Southern Enterprises one and more expensive too.

#3 Winsome Wood Eleanor Quilt Stand

Winsome Wood Eleanor Quilt Stand

Winsome Wood Eleanor quilt stand is made of solid beachwood with walnut finish.

Putting this thing together is a nightmare and nearly impossible without power tools. The screws are too large, pre-drilled holes – too small. Assembled unit is 30 inches high, 26 inches wide and 18.5 inches deep.

Assembled unit seems to be strong enough for its intended purpose of holding quilts. It’s not heavy duty though and there is a possibility it won’t be long lasting.

Overall you should consider to purchase this quilt stand only if you are prepared for the horrific experience of putting this thing together, however to be honest it would be just wiser to avoid this unit all together.

#4 Frenchi Home Furnishing Quilt Rack

Frenchi Home Furnishing Quilt Rack

Frenchi Home Furnishing Quilt Rack is made of fiberboard wood like material with cherry finish. Material is fragile and can be easily damaged during assembly. Even more worrying are the countless consumer complaints about parts arriving scratched or splintered.

Assembly is difficult too. First of all you have to be very gentle to avoid breaking the parts, which is hard because screw holes do not align properly and getting screws in their place takes force. Assembled unit is 30 inches high, 25.5 inches wide and 10 inches deep.

Overall this quilt rack is of low quality and would be best avoided.

#5 Frenchi Furniture Blanket/Quilt Stand

Frenchi Furniture Blanket/Quilt Stand

Frenchi Furniture blanket/quilt stand is made of composite wood. Parts are very fragile and prone to breaking when assembling the unit. Even if you manage to build this quilt stand without breaking anything it probably won’t last long anyway. Chances are it won’t take long for the entire thing to break under the weight of quilts, that’s how fragile this thing is.

Overall this quilt stand is way too fragile rendering it pretty much useless. Don’t waste your money on this garbage!

#6 Powell’s Furniture Oak Blanket/Quilt Rack

Powell's Furniture Oak Blanket/Quilt Rack

Powell’s Furniture Oak blanket/quilt rack is of low quality. It’s fragile and you can expect it to break after few weeks or months of use. Assembly is a bit challenging too – instructions are weak and the pieces don’t fit well together.

Overall it would be advisable to avoid this quilt rack.
