Instead you could use snow blower – operating them is relatively effortless and on average lets you clean your driveway 5 times faster compared to shoveling. There are two types of snow blowers:

  1. Gas powered snow blowers – They are typically more powerful than electric ones, but require more maintenance, are loud and usually less reliable.
  2. Electric snow blowers:
    1. Cord powered – You don’t have to worry about running out of battery but managing cord can be annoying at times.
    2. Battery powered – batteries run out of energy which is an inconvenience but you don’t have to deal with the cord. Some of the battery powered snow blowers can be powered by cord too!

#1 PowerSmart DB7624E Snow Blower

PowerSmart DB7624E is a gas powered snow blower with 212cc engine that produces 7 horsepower and 9.5 lb-ft of torque. It has a clearing width of 24 inches and depth of 21 inches.

It’s quite powerful and handles dry and wet snow as well ice very well. Handles feet of snow with ease, it might struggle a bit with more snow but it will get the job done. You probably won’t experience the manufacturer claimed throwing distance of up to 40 feet, but it does throw snow quite far when compared to your average snow blower, especially at this price range. PowerSmart DB7624E snow blower is self-propelled and has 4 forward and 2 backward speeds, so you barely have to push it. It has both a manual starter and push button electric start, the manual starter works very well and usually take only one pull to start.

Assembly instructions are not that great but the assembly process itself is not complicated so everyone should be able to figure without too much of struggle. Some of the parts like knobs and handles are made from cheap plastic that doesn’t feel particularly sturdy, but the overall build does feel strong enough to last for years if you use it with care and don’t abuse hard.

Overall performance is impressive for the pricing.

Details:

  • Type: Gas
  • Engine size: 212cc
  • Engine power: 7 hp & 9.5 lb-ft of torque
  • Clearing width: 24 inches

#2 Snow Joe SJ625E – Best Budget Option

Snow Joe SJ625E is a cord powered electric snow blower with 15-amp motor that moves up to 800 lbs of snow per minute. It uses steel auger with 2 rubber blades and has a clearing width of 21 inches and depth of 12 inches.

Snow Joe SJ625E is decently powerful but it ain’t among the most powerful snow blowers. It works best with up to 8″ of snow. It might struggle a bit with 8 inches to 1 foot of snow, but it can handle it you just have to push snow blower a bit slower. In snow more than foot high you will have to do multiple passes, but it’s manageable despite the device not being designed for that. Throws snow well (10+ inches). Managing the cord is a bit awkward at first but you get used to it.

Build quality is mediocre but it’s not bad. As you would expect at such pricing a lot of parts are made from plastic which might not be very long lasting. It’s quite lightweight which makes it easy to push and maneuver, however because of this lightness it doesn’t scrape bottom well and you might end up with a small layer of snow left behind. Built-in 3 W LED light is helpful during the dark time of the day.

Snow Joe SJ625E definitely doesn’t compete for best snow blower spot, but for the money it’s a great snow blower. If you can’t afford more expensive ones then this is a great budget option.

Details:

  • Type: Electric (cord powered)
  • Motor power: 15 Amp
  • Clearing width: 21 inches
  • Clearing depth: 12 inches
  • Weight: 35.7 pounds

#3 EGO Power+21″ Cordless Electric Snow Blower

EGO Power+ 21″ cordless electric snow blower runs on two 5.0Ah batteries which are included (if you need batteries with larger capacity you can buy them separately). It has a clearing width of 21 inches and depth of 13 inches.

You can’t call EGO Power+ 21″ snow blower powerful, but its performance is not bad. It plows through over a foot of light snow with ease and can handle around 10″ of wet heavy snow. Included batteries last for about 45 minutes, however the battery life decreases significantly with 8″ and more snow. Blows snow about 10-15 feet. The unit is not self propelled so you have to push it yourself which can be a bit difficult for some especially in heavier snow. It has built in headlights which are useful when using device in the dark.

GO Power+ 21″ snow blower is lightweight and easy to use. There are some reliability complaints from customers about the units breaking after 1-2 years of use but majority of the feedback is positive.

EGO Power+ 21″ snow blower is a bit expensive but if you are looking for a battery powered one then this is a decent choice.

Details:

  • Type: Electric (battery powered)
  • Motor power: 5 Amp
  • Clearing width: 21 inches

  • Weight: ~60 pounds

#4 Poulan Pro PR241 Snow Blower

Poulan Pro PR241 is a gas powered snow blower with 208cc engine that produces 9.5 ft-lb of torque. It has a clearing width of 24 inches and depth of 23 inches.

Poulan Pro PR241 is powerful and seems to almost never bog down. It can easily handle way more than foot of fluffy snow. It will handle foot of heavy/wet snow easily too, but might struggle a bit with more than that. Throw distance is impressive too! It’s much more powerful than most snow blowers. Starts usually on first pull, but sometimes struggles in temperatures of 10 °F or colder. Luckily it also has electric starter which will start up the unit within few seconds in any conditions.

It’s self propelled and has total of 7 speeds – 6 forward and 1 backwards. It doesn’t have power steering though and as this unit is a bit heavy it can be hard at times to maneuver. Overall build quality feels solid like you would expect at this pricing, but it isn’t super heavy duty. Requires some assembly but the whole process it simple and takes around 10 minutes.

Overall this is a great snow blower but it’s quite expensive too.

Details:

  • Type: Gas
  • Engine size: 208cc
  • Engine power: 9.5 lb-ft of torque
  • Clearing width: 24 inches
  • Clearing depth: 23 inches

#5 Snow Joe SJ621 Snow Blower

Snow Joe SJ621 is a cord powered electric snow blower with 13.5 amp motor that moves up to 650 lbs of snow per minute. It uses 4-blade steel auger cuts and has a clearing width of 18 inches and depth of 10 inches.

Snow Joe SJ621 is decently powerful and works well with up to 10-12 inches of snow. Build quality is not that great. The unit feels cheap and a bit flimsy. It’s not self propelled so you have to push the unit yourself – the deeper the snow the harder it is to push. The design of the wheels is bad too and sometimes on uneven ground or uphill they don’t have any traction. Snow Joe SJ621 weighs 32.9 pounds.

Overall Snow Joe SJ621 works well with up to 10-12 inches of snow, but it’s not very well made or a high quality unit. However it’s quite inexpensive, so the value for money is good.

Details:

  • Type: Electric (cord powered)
  • Motor power: 13.5 Amp
  • Clearing width: 18 inches
  • Clearing depth: 10 inches
  • Weight: 32.9 pounds

#6 PowerSmart DB72024PA Snow Blower

PowerSmart DB72024PA is a gas powered snow blower with 212cc engine that produces 9.5 lb-ft of torque. It has a clearing width of 24 inches and depth of 21 inches.

PowerSmart DB72024PA is pretty powerful and starts on first pull. Handles 8 inches of snow, whether light or wet and heavy with ease. It will certainly handle more too, but how much is hard to guess (it also depends on condition of snow). Just like the DB7624E model this one is self-propelled too and have same amount of speeds, 6 in total – 4 forward and 2 backward. Assembly is pretty simple and shouldn’t take more than 30 minutes.

Some of the consumers have complained about reliability of PowerSmart DB72024PA snow blower, so although most consumer feedback is positive reliability issues is something you might run into.

Overall PowerSmart DB72024PA is a pretty good snow blower, but it’s not quite the best for money.

Details:

  • Type: Gas
  • Engine size: 212cc
  • Engine power: 9.5 lb-ft of torque
  • Clearing width: 24 inches
  • Clearing depth: 21 inches
  • Weight: 180 pounds

#7 Snow Joe SJ622E Snow Blower

Snow Joe SJ622E is a cord powered electric snow blower with 15 amp motor and according to manufacturer has a plowing capacity of up to 720 lbs of snow per minute. It has a clearing width of 18 inches and depth of 10 inches. It has 180° adjustable directional chute so you can shoot snow in whatever direction you need. Snow Joe SJ622E weighs 32.4 pounds.

Handles 10-12″ of snow with ease, anything more than that and it starts to struggle but it can handle a bit over foot of snow. Throws light snow ~10 feet, heavy snow obviously less than that – the heavier it’s the shorter the distance.

Overall Snow Joe SJ622E performs very well for its low pricing.

Details:

  • Type: Electric (cord powered)
  • Motor power: 15 Amp
  • Clearing width: 18 inches
  • Clearing depth: 10 inches
  • Weight: 32.4 pounds

#8 Snow Joe SJ627E Snow Blower

Snow Joe SJ627E is a cord powered electric snow blower with 15 amp motor that has a plowing capacity of up to ~925 lbs of snow per minute. It uses 4-blade steel auger cuts and has a clearing width of 22 inches and depth of 13 inches.

Works well with 7″ of wet and heavy snow and 10″ of regular fluffy one. Perhaps can handle a bit more but might experience some bogging down. It’s pretty powerful although some of more expensive gas snow blowers are much more powerful, so Snow Joe SJ627E certainly isn’t among the most powerful snow blowers. Despite that it still performs quite well. Throws snow well too (10-15 feet).

Build quality is mediocre. The unit doesn’t feel exactly fragile but most of it is made from plastic that doesn’t leave impression of being very durable. It weighs 34.6 pounds.

Overall not the best build quality but considering the low pricing it performs quite well.

Details:

  • Type: Electric (cord powered)
  • Motor power: 15 Amp
  • Clearing width: 22 inches
  • Clearing depth: 13 inches
  • Weight: 34.6 pounds

#9 Snow Joe SJ623E Snow Blower

Snow Joe SJ623E is a cord powered electric snow blower with 15-amp motor that moves up to 720 lbs of snow per minute. It uses 4-blade steel auger and has a clearing width of 18 inches and depth of 10 inches.

Snow Joe SJ623E is decently powerful but it’s no powerhouse. It handles up to 6 inches of snow with ease. It might struggle a bit in 7″ to 10″ range but it gets the job done. For 10+ inch snow you will have to do at least 2 passes, but it’s still much better than using a shovel. It has 180° adjustable directional chute which according to manufacturer throws snow up to 25 feet. In reality it throws dry snow about 10 feet high, wet snow a bit less than that. Although not the most powerful snow blower out there, it will be more than powerful enough for most.

It’s not self-propelled but it’s not heavy or overly huge so it’s easy to maneuver and isn’t hard to push. Snow Joe SJ623E has built-in 20W halogen headlight which is helpful in darkness. Cord is of mediocre quality and it would be wise to buy a higher quality cord that’s made for cold weather. A good cord is a bit expensive though. Managing the cord will most likely feel a bit awkward at first but you get used to it. Snow Joe SJ623E is ETL approved.

Although Snow Joe SJ623E isn’t among the most powerful snow blowers it still feels powerful enough. For its price it performs very well and since it’s electric powered it doesn’t have all the terrible maintenance of a gas one.

Details:

  • Type: Electric (cord powered)
  • Motor power: 15 Amp
  • Clearing width: 18 inches
  • Clearing depth: 10 inches
  • Weight: 33.7 pounds

#10 Husqvarna ST227P Snow Blower

Husqvarna ST227P is a gas powered snow blower with 254cc engine that produces 7.5 horsepower & 12.5 lb-ft of torque. It has a clearing width of 27 inches and depth of 12.5 inches.

Husqvarna ST227P is very powerful. It can easily clean 2 foot of light snow and over a foot of very heavy snow. Throws snow pretty well too: around 30 foot when snow is dry and light, 10-15 feet when snow is wet and slushy. Starts with first pull but also has electric starter that works flawlessly.

Requires some assembly which takes around 15 minutes.

It’s self propelled and has a total of 7 speeds: 6 forward and 1 backwards, however the backwards speed is very slow, like 1-2 mph. It has power steering which makes it easy to maneuver the snow blower. It has hand warmer function which is useless and doesn’t make your hands feel any warmer. It has LED headlights which make blowing easier in dark. This snow blower has a design flaw – the auger belt. It’s prone to breaking and it’s hard to find replacement. Perhaps most won’t experience this problem, but still a significant amount of consumers have complained about this. Another possible problem could be the console, which is made from plastic that’s not very durable and might break eventually.

Overall Husqvarna ST227P performs very well, but it’s expensive and have some designs flaws that might cause reliability problems.

Details:

  • Type: Gas
  • Engine size: 254cc
  • Engine power: 7.5 hp & 12.5 lb-ft of torque
  • Clearing width: 27 inches
  • Clearing depth: 12.5 inches
  • Weight: 212 pounds

#11 YARDMAX YB5765 Gas Snow Blower

YARDMAX YB5765 is a gas powered snow blower with 196cc engine that produces 6.5 horsepower. It has a clearing width of 22 inches and depth of 16 inches.

YARDMAX YB5765 is powerful. It works well with up to 16 inches of snow. Starts on first pull.

YARDMAX YB5765 is self propelled and has a total of 7 speeds (a bit of overkill to be honest) – 5 forward and 2 backwards. The wheels are a bit small and sometimes struggle to find traction in wet snow, so although YARDMAX YB5765 snow blower is self propelled you might have to push it in some situations. Assembly is pretty simple and takes 30-60 minutes to finish depending on how handy you are. Overall build quality is not that good. It has some design flaws and doesn’t leave impression of something that will last for years to come. Consumer feedback seem to confirm this as there are quite a bit of complaints about the reliability of YARDMAX YB5765 snow blower. This is certainly not a high end machine.

Overall YARDMAX YB5765 snow blower performs well when it works, but it has many flaws which make it not a good value for money.

Details:

  • Type: Gas
  • Engine size: 196cc
  • Engine power: 6.5 horsepower
  • Clearing width: 22 inches
  • Clearing depth: 16 inches
  • Weight: 125 pounds

#12 Husqvarna ST224 Gas Snow Blower

Husqvarna ST224 is a gas powered snow blower with 208cc engine that produces 6.3 horsepower and 9.5 ft-lb of torque. It has a clearing width of 24 inches and depth of 23 inches.

Husqvarna ST224 is powerful. Handles 2 feet of light snow with relative ease, can handle more than foot of wet and heavy snow too. Throws powdery snow well over 20 feet and wet/heavy one over 10′. Overall performance is quite impressive, in plowing power it’s among the best.

Most of the construction feels sturdy, some of the parts are flimsy though like control console which is made from cheap plastic. Unfortunately reliability seems to be a major issue with Husqvarna ST224 – there are tons of complaints from consumers and it’s not like it has one or two weak spots, the issues that people experience vary greatly. Most common issue is plastic that hold cables breaking.

Overall Husqvarna ST224 is a great snow blower when it works, but the huge amount of reliability and quality complaints suggest that perhaps it’s not worth its price.

Details:

  • Type: Gas
  • Engine size: 208cc
  • Engine power: 6.3 hp & 9.5 lb-ft of torque
  • Clearing width: 24 inches
  • Clearing depth: 23 inches
  • Weight: 198.6 pounds

#13 Snow Joe SJ624E Corded Electric Snow Blower

Snow Joe SJ624E is a cord powered electric snow blower with 14 amp motor that has a plowing capacity of up to 730 lbs of snow per minute. It has a clearing width of 21 inches and depth of 11.8 inches.

Snow Joe SJ624E has decent power but you can’t call it powerful. For most of the part it handles up to 1 foot of snow well. If the snow is heavy it might struggle with less than 1′ of snow too. If the snow is light and fluffy you can handle more than foot of it too, but with some struggle and multiple passes. One the positive side it throws snow well, has 180° adjustable chute, weighs 34.6 pounds and is easy to maneuver.

Overall Snow Joe SJ624E is a mediocre snow blower. The value for money is neither good nor bad.

Details:

  • Type: Electric (cord powered)
  • Motor power: 14 Amp
  • Clearing width: 21 inches
  • Clearing depth: 11.8 inches
  • Weight: 34.6 pounds

#14 Greenworks 2601302 PRO 20-Inch 80V

Greenworks 2601302 is a battery powered electric snow blower. It uses 80 Volt Lithium Ion battery, which is not included. Battery life depends on the type (capacity) of battery you use. This model is discontinued although still available for sale as new in some places. Greenworks 2601302 snow blower has a clearing width of 20 inches and depth of 10 inches.

Greenworks 2601302 snow blower is not very powerful. It works well with 8″ inches of fresh snow, it can handle 6″ – 8″ inches of wet snow too albeit with some struggling and bogging down. Throws snow quite well though, in range of 10 to 18 feet depending on the condition of snow.

Reliability of Greenworks 2601302 snow blower is questionable. Although the most consumer feedback is positive, there are still relatively many complaints about reliability. Apparently Greenworks 2601302 snow blowers tend to break after few weeks or months. Some even claim that these units are defective from factory and that’s why they have been discontinued.

Overall performance and build quality of Greenworks 2601302 snow blower is mediocre at best.

Details:

  • Type: Electric (battery powered)
  • Clearing width: 20 inches
  • Clearing depth: 10 inches
  • Weight: ~30 pounds

#15 Snow Joe SJ615E Corded Electric Snow Blower

Snow Joe SJ615E is a cord powered electric snow blower with 11 amp motor that moves up to 440 lbs of snow per minute. It uses 2-blade cold and abrasion resistant plastic auger and has a clearing width of 15 inches and depth of 8 inches.

Snow Joe SJ615E is build to handle up to 8 inches of snow, which it does very well. It’s not the best choice for more than 8 inches of snow but can handle a bit more than 8 if necessary but might take two passes to do the job.

Snow Joe SJ615E is relatively compact and since it’s made from plastic it’s very lightweight and easy to move/maneuver. Requires some assembly which is very simple and requires no tools.

Overall Snow Joe SJ615E is a decent snow blower for small amount of snow. Although it’s not a heavy duty device it offers great value for money.

Details:

  • Type: Electric (cord powered)
  • Motor power: 11 Amp
  • Clearing width: 15 inches
  • Clearing depth: 8 inches
  • Weight: 24.3 pounds

#16 Greenworks 26022 16-Inch 10 Amp Snow Thrower

Greenworks 26022 is cord powered electric snow thrower with 10 Amp motor. It can clear up to 600 lbs of snow per minute according to manufacturer (which in reality seems unlikely). It has a clearing width of 16 inches and depth of 6 inches.

Greenworks 26022 has a decent amount of power but it’s not impressively powerful or anything. It plows through snow very well considering its price. It can handle 5″ of wet and heavy snow or hard ice, obviously it can handle even more of dry & light snow but it’s hard to say how much. Most of the unit is made out of cheap fragile plastic, which might affect it’s lifetime. However perhaps the most essential things – motor and rotor – seem to be reasonably solid.

Overall: 3.6 roentgen – not great, not terrible; Far from great but performs surprisingly well for its small price tag.

Details:

  • Type: Electric (cord powered)
  • Motor power: 10 Amp
  • Clearing width: 16 inches
  • Clearing depth: 6 inches

#17 Earthwise SN74018 Battery Powered Snow Blower

Overall blowing performance is below mediocre. It can handle few inches of snow well, but isn’t really suited for large amounts of snow. The overall build feels fairly sturdy. It has 180 degree rotating chute. The 2 built in LED spotlights are very bright and useful in dark. Earthwise SN74018 snow thrower has 180 degree rotating chute. Wheels are too small and don’t work well in conditions other than flat terrain.

Overall you would expect more for this pricing, Earthwise SN74018 snow thrower doesn’t offer a good value for money.

Details:

  • Type: Electric (battery powered)
  • Motor power: 4 Amp
  • Clearing width: 18 inches
  • Clearing depth: 10 inches
  • Weight: 34 pounds

#18 Snow Joe iON13SS Battery Powered Snow Blower

Snow Joe iON13SS is a battery powered electric snow blower with 500 w brushless motor that moves up to 300 lbs of snow per minute. It comes with 40-volt 4.0 Ah lithium-ion battery that lasts 40-60 minutes on full charge. Snow Joe iON13SS snow blower has a clearing width of 13 inches and depth of 6 inches.

Overall snow blowing performance mediocre. It can handle around 10″ of fluffy snow, doesn’t work well with wet snow but can handle a little bit of it too. Snow spray is in the range of around 5 to 15 feet depending on snow condition. You can’t change the direction where it blows, it’s fixed.

Overall build quality is not that great too. Auger is made from plastic which makes it quite fragile, it’s prone to breaking when hitting ice. now Joe iON13SS Requires some assembly and the process is a bit tricky. Instructions for the most part are precise, clear and easy to follow but they seem to forgotten to mention one thing. You have to insert the upper tube into the lower tube but you will find it impossible to do. To do so you have to unscrew 3 screws that are located on the base of lower tube, pull the handle up and then you will be able to insert the upper tube.

On the positive side it’s light and easy to maneuver. It’s small in size and is quite portable.

Overall Snow Joe iON13SS has a good battery life, but performance and quality is mediocre.

Details:

  • Type: Electric (battery powered)
  • Motor power: 500 W
  • Clearing width: 13 inches
  • Clearing depth: 6 inches
  • Weight: 14.5 pounds

#19 Greenworks 20-Inch 13 Amp Snow Blower

Greenworks 20-Inch 13 Amp snow blower has a clearing width of 20 inches and depth of 10 inches.

This snow blower is not very powerful. It can handle up to 6-8″ of light fluffy snow with ease, but anything more than that and it starts to struggle. It also often leaves a small layer of snow behind. When it comes to wet and heavy snow, it can handle up to 3″ well but starts to seriously struggle with more than that.

Overall build quality is mediocre too. Auger is plastic and seems cheap and somewhat fragile. Sometimes snow comes out from random places, not just chute. It’s also kinda hard to push in deeper or heavier snow. It weighs 32 pounds and has LED headlights.

Overall this isn’t a very good snow blower, but it can face some lighter jobs.

Details:

  • Type: Electric (cord powered)

It handles 6-8″ of snow well, perhaps it can handle more (we have no information about how it handles over 8″ of snow). Overall build quality is mediocre, so this snow blower might not last.

Overall it’s not worth the price, you can get better snow blowers at this pricing.

Details:

  • Type: Gas
  • Engine size: 250cc
  • Engine power: 9.5 lb-ft of torque
  • Clearing width: 22 inches

It can handle a bit over foot of fluffy snow, although it starts to struggle at around 8″ and you have to push the snow blower slower. The engine is not very powerful, but it seems to work smoothly and isn’t very loud.

There are significant amount of complaints about reliability, so this snow blower likely isn’t well made. The most common issue is drive belt snapping.

Overall Briggs & Stratton 1696506 snow blower isn’t worth its price.

Details:

  • Type: Gas
  • Engine size: 205cc
  • Engine power: 9.5 lb-ft of torque
  • Clearing width: 22 inches
  • Clearing depth: 12.5 inches

#22 Briggs & Stratton 1024 (1696610) Gas Snow Blower

Briggs & Stratton 1024 (1696610) is a gas powered snow blower with 208cc engine that produces 9.5 ft-lb of torque. It has a clearing width of 24 inches and depth of 20 inches.

The 208cc engine is powerful and the device has plenty of power. It easily plows through 12 inches of wet and heavy snow. Throws snow far away too, starts on first pull and also has electric start! The build quality is mediocre and certainly doesn’t match the high price tag. Parts of the Briggs & Stratton 1024 snow blower don’t feel well engineered or sturdy. Although most of the consumer feedback is positive there are still a bit of complaints about reliability. Some complain about the unit or parts of it breaking after year or so use.

Overall Briggs & Stratton 1024 is a decently performing snow blower, but the quality you expect for this pricing is simply not there!

Toro 38381 is not very powerful – it’s made for small amounts of light snow. It will do well with snow of up to 8″ high, but no more than that. It plows through 8″ of snow well and throws it 15-20 feet.

Build quality is not good. Unit is made almost entirely of cheap and not that durable plastic that probably won’t last. Toro 38381 has 160-degree adjustable chute and the unit is very light – it weighs just 26 pounds.

Overall Toro 38381 is not a good snow blower. It’s performance is mediocre at best and build quality rather bad.

  • Motor power: 15 Amp
  • Clearing width: 18 inches

It has steel auger with 2 rubber blades and clearing width of 18 inches and depth of 8 inches. Snow Joe iON18SB uses 40 V iONMAX 4.0 Ah rechargeable lithium-ion batteries that last for 40-60 minutes.

Snow Joe iON18SB is not powerful at all. It can handle small amounts of snow, like up to 6″ of wet snow. It’s a bit too weak for more than that. Build quality is not good – lots of cheap plastic that’s not durable, the snow blower doesn’t feel durable. Snow Joe iON18SB has 180° auto-rotate directional chute. The 3 W LED headlight is useful in dark. The unit weighs 35 pounds. Snow Joe iON18SB is ETL approved and Energy Star certified.

Overall Snow Joe iON18SB is not a good snow blower for its price. It has rather weak performance and the build quality is far from great.

#25 Husqvarna ST230P Gas Snow Blower

Husqvarna ST230P is a gas powered snow blower with 291cc engine that produces 8.5 horsepower & 14.5 lb-ft of torque. It has a clearing width of 30 inches.

Starts on 1-3 pulls and It has electric started too. Can handle way over foot of snow with ease. Just like some of the other Husqvarna snow blowers this too has auger belt design flaw, which is very prone to breaking. Perhaps the worst part is that finding a replacement auger belt is near impossible. There are also other reliability and build quality complaints from customers. It has LED headlights and power steering. Weighs 237.8 lbs.

Overall this snow blower cannot be recommended – it’s expensive and seems to be riddled with reliability and build quality issues.

Snow Joe ION8024-XR is a battery powered electric snow blower that runs on two 40V/5.0 Ah iONMAX lithium-ion batteries. Snow Joe ION8024-XR has a clearing width of 24 inches and depth of 13 inches.

Plowing performance of Snow Joe ION8024-XR isn’t great. It can handle about 10″ of dry snow, but it really struggles with wet and heavy one. Overall the performance isn’t on par with the price, which is why you probably should avoid this snow thrower.
