Best Rechargeable LED Flashlights (Review)

I have done extensive research to help you choose the best rechargeable led flashlight out of 13 different models. Find out which rechargeable led flashlights you should consider and which ones to avoid!:

#1 Anker LC90 Rechargeable LED Flashlight

Anker LC90 is made of aluminum and feels sturdy.

It has 5 light modes: high, medium, low, strobe and SOS. It emits 900 lumen on high setting according to manufacturer (however you shouldn’t blindly trust the claimed lumens because unfortunately manufacturers often aren’t honest in their claims). The light it emits is extremely bright and white (some flashlights emits yellowish light). It travels very far too. LEDs have a 50,000 hour lifespan. To put it on perspective, if you use the flashlight for 4 hours everyday, the LEDs will last for about 34 years.

It has zoom function which widens or narrows the beam – it works well and smoothly.

It’s IPX5 rated which means it can handle sustained, low-pressure water jet spray and IP65 rated which means it’s totally protected against dust and protected against low pressure jets of water from all directions. It works reliably in temperatures as low as 14 °F (-10 °C).

It uses 18650 3350mAh rechargeable battery. Battery life is good, Anker LC90 runs on high setting for about 4 hours which is the setting that consumes most energy (however take note that it won’t run on high setting continuously, flashlight eventually will switch to a lower light setting to prevent it from overheating which is very understandable considering the brightness of light it emits). To recharge Anker LC90 you have to unscrew the tail cap which if you want to nitpick isn’t perhaps the most comfortable design solution, but it reality it doesn’t create that much inconvenience and such design probably increases dust and water resistance. While charging flashlight a bulb is illuminated in red color, when it’s fully charged the color changes to green.

One more reason to choose Anker products is that they have been very customer friendly so far. They really stand behind their products and are quick to resolve any issues you might run into. Their customer service has been superb!

Overall Anker LC90 is amazingly good flashlight for its pricing!

#11 Brionac Rechargeable LED Flashlight

Brionac Rechargeable LED Flashlight is made of aluminum alloy. Brionac states that this flashlight outputs 1800 lumens but this claim in just outrageous, in reality the output is 550-650 lumens. Despite the insanely over exaggerated claims the flashlight is still bright and outputs good beam. It does get hot after being on for a long period of time but that applies to pretty much all flashlights that are this bright.

It’s FCC, CE and RoHS certified. It’s also IP65 rated which makes it dust proof and water resistant.

#12 Coquimbo LED Work Light

Coquimbo LED work light is made of hard rubber with the head being made of aluminum. It doesn’t leave impression of particular sturdiness but as long as you don’t drop the flashlight constantly it should be sturdy enough. Light output is good, it’s bright and flashlight illuminates everything around it with a concentrated light. It has 5 lighting modes: high brightness, medium brightness, front light, red warning and red strobe.

The head rotates in 360 degrees vertically. Coquimbo LED work light is very light, weighs just 4.9 oz.

It has magnet to the base so you can attach it to the metals, however the magnet is pretty weak and might fail at holding the flashlight so it’s pretty much useless unless you don’t mind risking to damage it. It also had a hook and it works better than the magnet so you can hang the light.

Battery life isn’t bad and charge lasts for multiple hours on highest brightness setting. Coquimbo LED work light has built-in 18650 rechargeable battery.

Package contents:

  • 2 x Coquimbo LED work light
  • 2 x USB charging cable

#13 OTYTY USB Rechargeable Flashlight (2 Pack)

This set includes two OTYTY Flashlights. Housing is made of aluminum, however the flashlights are cheaply made and quite fragile. They wont last a long time. They are pretty bright though. Manufacturer claims 1000 lumen output. It also has sidelight but it’s very dim and pretty much useless.

Turning off is annoying as you have to switch through all light modes until you achieve “off” position.

Overall you should avoid these flashlights. They are cheaply made which makes sense considering you get two for such a low pricing.

Package contents:

  • 2 x OTYTY Tactical Flashlight
  • 2 x 18650 1200mAh rechargeable battery
  • 2 x Micro USB cable
