Aucma SM-1518N is a stand mixer with 660 watt motor and 6.5 quart mixing bowl. It’s currently one of the best selling stand mixers in North America but is it as good as more expensive big name brand models? Let’s find out!
Aucma SM-1518N performs fairly well and can handle tough/thick doughs without issues but it’s not as powerful more expensive models. This is not really a flaw as it does have good power for the money that will be sufficient most of the time.
What you could complain about is that it’s a bit loud and the slowest speed is a bit fast (which isn’t really an issue since there’s a splash guard). Another thing to note is that attachments doesn’t cover as much area of the bowl as those that come with high-end units so it might be a bit less efficient at mixing. For this reason you also can’t really fill it up to the brim so some of that 6.5-quart capacity will be left unused.
Aucma SM-1518N comes a whisk, dough hook and mixing beater which will cover you for anything you want to mix. According to manual attachments should be hand washed.
Overall quality is decent but not as good as more expensive models which is kind of to be expected. Housing is made of ABS plastic (expensive models are usually made of metal) and attachments don’t feel as sturdy too.
Aucma SM-1518N has suction cups that work really well and prevents stand mixer from moving. Other features include tilt-head design (makes inserting and taking out attachments easy) and splash guard (prevents splattering) with access hatch (you can add ingredients while mixing without making a mess).
Aucma SM-1518N is quite lightweight for a stand mixer.
Even though Aucma SM-1518N is not as good as some of the more expensive models it’s still a pretty good stand mixer overall. If you don’t want to spend a lot of money then it can be a decent alternative to a high-end unit.
