Aroma Housewares AHP-303 is a single burner hot plate that’s compatible with cookware that’s up to 6 inches in diameter. It’s significantly less expensive than most single burnet hot plates so what’s the difference?
Cooking with Aroma Housewares AHP-303 Single Burner Hot Plate
Aroma Housewares AHP-303 cooks evenly however in many ways it’s not as good as more expensive models.
For example it takes longer for it to heat up. The hottest temperature is also not as hot as you get with more premium models. It will take a while to bring pot of water to boil. You might even have to put a lid on the pot to achieve the boiling point.
There are also only 4 heat settings: “Warm”, “Low”, “Medium” and “High”. More expensive models typically have 10 or more giving you more precise control over temperature.
Another thing to mention is that burner is 6 inches in diameter so it’s only compatible with smaller pans and pots. If you want to use a larger pan you can theoretically do that but then the heat might not be evenly distributed and it would be dangerous as pan wouldn’t be very stable and could flip over.
With that being said despite the drawbacks you can cook reasonably well with Aroma Housewares AHP-303. You just have to be a bit more patient and understand its limitations.
Housing (exterior body) can get quite hot so be careful not to touch it right after cooking without any protection.
Aroma Housewares AHP-303 is very compact measuring just 8.125’’ inches in width and 10.125’’ inches in depth.
Aroma Housewares AHP-303 single burner hot plate is less expensive than other models for a reason – it’s nowhere near as good as them. With that being said you can successfully cook with it. This might be good enough for those that want to save some money and don’t really mind the drawbacks of this model that much.
