Aroma Housewares AEW-305 is electric wok with 7 quart capacity. It’s made of cast aluminum and has power supply of 1500 watts.

Cooking with Aroma Housewares AEW-305 Electric Wok

Aroma Housewares AEW-305 electric wok works reasonably well for its price. The temperature seems to be evenly distributed and it warms up quickly however there is no indicator light that shows when wok has achieved desired temperature.

Another thing to mention is that it doesn’t get as as hot as Breville BEW600XL on highest temperature setting. Because of this you might find that with some foods it doesn’t get as hot as you would like even though it works just fine with most.

Cooking surface has nonstick coating so food doesn’t stick to it and makes it easy to clean too.

Quality

The overall quality is not bad however Aroma Housewares AEW-305 electric wok is not as well made as Breville BEW600XL. Some of the parts are noticeable cheaper like handle and nonstick coating is not as good (but it’s still good enough).

Controls

Aroma Housewares AEW-305 electric wok is equipped with knob for adjusting temperature however the settings aren’t marked for some reason. Because of the location where knob is placed it’s also not the most convenient to use but that’s not a big issue.

Features

The base and handles are cool touch (they don’t get hot).

Other

Power cord is not removable which is a shame as you won’t be able to replace it when it wears out. The lid is not transparent so you can’t see how your food is cooking when it’s placed on the wok.

Verdict

For the money Aroma Housewares AEW-305 is a decent electric wok but it’s far from perfect. Breville BEW600XL is a better wok that provides far superior cooking experience.
